Abstract

The farm economy plays an important role in the economic development of Quang Binh province. This article compiles statistical data and analyzes the development of farm-based economic models, assessing both the current situation and the associated challenges. The results show that farm models are unevenly distributed across localities. Bo Trach district is the leading contributor, accounting for 30–50% of the total number of farms in the province. The classification of farm models indicates that livestock and mixed farms are the most suitable for local conditions, representing 35–40% of all farm types. In terms of production value, average farm area, and number of workers, local farms are comparable to the national average. However, the application of science and technology, as well as the integration of production and product consumption, remains limited. As of now, only 14.91% of farms have adopted high technology in their production and business activities.
