The purpose of the article is to outline the necessity of incorporating culture into foreign language teaching and learning. It begins with the components of concept of culture. In addition, the article mentions the importance of cultural awareness in language acquisition. Furthermore, it proposes techniques to improve students’ cultural awareness, including cognitive capacities, attitudes/affective capacities, cultural behaviors. The conclusion will emphasize the significance of improving student’s cultural awareness in EFL classrooms.
