THE IMPACT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON TEACHING METHODS AND KNOWLEDGE ACQUISITION IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is bringing profound changes to higher education, from teaching methods to how learners access knowledge. This paper provides an overview of AI’s development and its impact on higher education, particularly the transformations in teaching methods and students' approach to knowledge acquisition. The applying of AI in teaching enhances educational effectiveness; however, these significant benefits, AI also presents challenges related to technological dependence, academic ethics, and the adaptability of both teachers and students. At the end of the paper is proposed solutions to optimize the application of AI in higher education.
