ENHANCING WRITING SKILLS FOR ENGLISH MAJOR STUDENTS AT QUANG BINH UNIVERSITY: CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study aims to assess the current situation and proposes solutions to improve the writing skills of English major students at Quang Binh University. Through surveys and interviews, the main difficulties students face includes limited vocabulary, weak grammar, lack of ideas, and low learning motivation. Feedback from instructors has also been insufficient in effectively supporting students in improving their writing skills. Based on the findings, the study suggests solutions such as increasing writing practice, using active teaching methods, and providing detailed, encouraging feedback. These solutions aim to enhance the quality of learning and develop writing skills in a sustainable way.
