Abstract

Abstracts: Black termite mushroom (Xerula radicata) is one of edible and medicinal mushroom belonging to family Physalacriaceae of Agarical…It has been known popularly and expensively. This type of mushroom is relatively difficult to grow, requires appropriate cultivation techniques, and has a relatively long cultivation time of four to six months. The growth of mycelium is effected by temperature, lighting condition and culture media. This study aims to determine the suitable conditions for promoting mycelial growth of Xerula radicata in the primary propagation stage, we conducted research and determined that the most suitable culture temperature is 250C, in complete darkness. The experiment on primary propagation medium was carried with 4 types of culture media. The results revealed that the most suitable culture medium containing of Potato 200 g/l, Glucose 20 g/l, Yeast extract 5 g/l, Peptone 5 g/l, Agar 20g/l for the highest rate of mycelial growth of X. radicata at 6.23 mm/day.
